For schools

What is a Color Clock?
A Color Clock is a clock on which you can no longer see what time it is and you cannot learn to tell time on it either. So what is it? A useful tool to teach children to work independently. Children gain insight into time.
Wall model A3 in practice Each time you want your child to work independently, make an appointment with the child. For example: you can still use the computer/tablet/mobile for 15 minutes. Place that one hand on the clock at the beginning of the orange area. The hand continues to run as on a normal clock. As time passes, the child can keep an eye on the color himself. He/she sees the pointer moving forward; once the next color is reached the child knows his time is over.

Who is the Color Clock intended for?

A Color Clock is a tool that is increasingly used in both primary and special education and (youth) care. Some parents also buy the Color Clock for home: this is useful because students can use the same tool both at home and at school.

Model A (wall model) is mainly used in groups, so it is very suitable for schools/groups. Model B (table model) can be used individually (or for small groups of students).

Model H (watch model) is suitable for use in individual 'mobile situations': e.g. when playing outside. This is particularly useful for parents.

The clock was initially developed for children with Autism (PDD-NOS) and ADHD, but Color Clocks are now used for all children. The Color Clock already has many users:
• teachers in primary & special education (preschool and junior classes)
• remedial teachers
• play therapists
• parents in home situations
• pedagogical staff from various target groups.
